Legend once told of a valley ruled by Tanuki, the mythical Raccoon-dogs of Japan. For centuries people searched for this valley but it was never found. It was said that in the valley tanuki took on a more human-like lifestyle, with their own laws and ways of life.
It was also said that in this valley it rained all the time, but the sun always shined. The landscape lush and green, it was said to be paradise. But humans could not step foot into this valley, it was a gift to the tanuki from their goddess, Tennokaze.
Ameko Valley is a strongly roleplay-based adoptable. Though roleplay is not demanded of you, it makes the experience of Ameko so much better, since it was created for that purpose.
When you first get a Tanuki you name it by giving it a first name and a family name. Each user may only have three family names. These names are passed down to the next generation and when you adopt or trade a tanuki from another user it will take on one of your family names.
First names are unique to a tanuki (unless multiple users choose to name their tanuki the same thing) but a family name is unique to the user who picked it and may only be used by said user.
Your Tanuki may also gain a job. There are many jobs to choose from and a detailed description can be found on the forum, in the information section under "Jobs and titles".

The plan:
Ameko Valley is going to go through a HUGE reboot. The art is going to be redrawn so it is easier to add to it. Clothing and hairstyles will be able to be interchanged and items may be added.
It will include different poses for each gender for the adults and God stages. The children and baby will be unisex poses, but items can be added to make it easier to tell genders apart.
The adoptable will be an intense one, set in a small mountain community of farmers and monks. It will advance as we go along until one day, perhaps, the village will become a thriving metropolis.
